Delete your EduMS account & data

You can delete your EduMS account at any time. This page explains the three options, what data is removed, and what is retained for legal reasons.

Option 1 — Delete in-app (fastest)

Open EduMS and sign in.
Go to Settings → Account.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm with the OTP sent to your registered phone number.

Your account is queued for deletion immediately and removed from active systems within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email request

Email connect@akshaykotish.com from the email or referencing the phone number tied to your account. Include:

Your registered phone number (with country code).
Your role (owner / student / staff) and workspace name (if known).
The subject line: "EduMS account deletion request".

We reply within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verification.

Option 3 — Web form

If you can't sign in, send your deletion request to connect@akshaykotish.com with the same details listed above. We will verify ownership before deleting.

What gets deleted

Your name, phone number, email, profile picture.
Your role-specific data: attendance records, bookings, dues, payment history (the records about you).
Diagnostics, device tokens, push-notification subscriptions tied to your account.
If you are a workspace owner: your workspace and all members it contains, after a 7-day grace period during which you can restore.

What we must retain by law

Financial records. Indian tax law (Income-tax Act, GST Act) requires us to retain payment records, GST invoices, and audit trails for 8 years. These are stored separately, encrypted, and used only for tax/audit response. They are not used for any other purpose.

What happens after deletion

You can no longer sign in with that phone number.
Push notifications stop immediately.
You may register a new account with the same phone number after 30 days.
