Yes. The app is free on App Store and Play Store, and there is zero monthly subscription. You only ever pay (a) a 20% commission + 18% GST on online fees you actually collect through the app, or (b) a one-time ₹1,770 prepaid bundle if you want to record cash payments for up to 30 students with no commission.
It covers Razorpay's gateway cut, refunds, GST handling, server costs, and ongoing app development — and you only pay on money you actually receive. Comparable Indian fee-management SaaS charge ₹2,000–₹10,000/month regardless of student count. EduMS costs you nothing on idle months.
Razorpay settles to your bank account on T+1 to T+2 business days after a successful payment. EduMS shows the settlement timeline on the Finance tab so you always know which payment landed when.
Every successful payment generates a tax invoice automatically — for your student (the owner is the supplier of services) and a separate invoice from us to you for the 20% commission + 18% GST on commission. Both are downloadable PDFs from inside the app.

You can request full account & data deletion from inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or via akshaykotish.com/deletion. We retain only what Indian tax law forces us to (transaction records for 8 years per Section 36 of GST Act). Everything else is wiped.
Phone OTP is the only identity we collect. Payments are PCI-DSS handled by Razorpay; we never see card numbers. All requests are TLS-encrypted. Read the full privacy policy for the long version.
